3 (who?)
Now I have to be honest. I was both looking forward to Der Kinderlumper and worried about it at the same time.

On one hand, I would like to see how this turns out and Candace becoming a Rutabega Princess and the Running of the Chinchilla does sound interesting as well as the Doof plot.

But at the same time, is it just me or does the plot sound.......wierd even wierder than Remains of the Platypus or Monster From the Id?

Well after seeing it, I am glad to say that I love this episode, I love it more than Happy New Year and My Sweet Ride combined. Don't get me wrong, I love both HNY and MSR, but they did have minor flaws. (Happy New Year had a couple animation errors and My Sweet Ride had the pacing problem) Der Kinderlumper though, I had no problems with this episode whatsoever. I really had a blast watching this episode.

It is a WEIRD concept yes, but it is a well done weird concept in my opinion.

In this episode, Candace becomes nominated to be a Rutabega Princess and hosts the 100th annual Running of the Chinchillas. An event held once a year that lasts from Danville to Badger Town. Meanwhile Doofenshmirtz creats an inator that will turn himself into A Kinderlumper, a Drusselsteinian fairy tale creature that kidnaps misbehaving children who Drinks water, blink, look to the right, basically EVERYTHING and puts them in a bag called the gundersack, and tries to scare Roger. He fires the ray turning himself into a Kinderlumper, but also turning Perry and the Chinchilla into Kinderlumpers as well. The Chinchillas ended up chasing Candace and the gang who are riding vehicles made out of rutabagas and in the process, stampeded over Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Stacy, Buford and Baljeet. When Doofenshmirtz confronts Roger, he is happy to see the Kinderlumper as it turns out Doof’s parents told Roger, back in his childhood, that the Kinderlumper is a nice creature and gives gifts to all of the nice children aka DOOF’S PARENTS ARE COMPLETE AND UTTER @##HOLES!!!!!

The Kinderlumper effects ware off turning Doof, Perry and the Chinchillas back to normal and Candace arrives in Badger town. Phineas, Ferb, Stacy and the gang make it too and survived unscathed. Phineas tells Candace that they were stampeded but because of how fluffy the Chinchilla were, they weren’t hurt in the slightest. A news reporter luckily recorded Phineas and Ferb’s invetions on the camera but, get this, the Chinchillas hijacked the news helicopter and fly away… No I am not kidding. I LOVE THIS SHOW.
Perry returns to Phineas and Ferb and the episode ends.

First thing I should mention, there was no PnF plot in this episode, they were thier and had made some inventions in the form of Rutebega. Some people were disapointed since they played no part to the plot. Honestley, I liked it like that. Don't get me wrong I like Phineas and Ferb and and I like thier inventions,

......Most of the time. (The rutabaga vehicle were cool though)

But Der Kinderlumper was about Candace and Doofenshmirtz. So yeah the Candace and Doof plots are the stars of this episode while the PnF plot takes a backseat, and honestley, I like the episode like that. It's like how the Doof and Perry plot was the star in Road to Danville and the other two plots take a backseat. Or in Bully Bromance Breakup where the Candace plot took a backseat.

Speaking of, I love both plots of this episode. For the second time in a row, Candace does not bust her brothers and focuses on the running of the Chinchillas. That is awesome. Plus Stacy plays a role in this episode as being FAMOUS BY ASSOCIATION.
Oh and we get some world building about Danville like the Running of the Chinchilla as well as a place called Badgertown. Not much world building admittingly, but still it is good world building.

Oh and we also have Mike the news reporter voiced by Gordon Tokumatstu, a news reporter for NBC-4 LA and he did a great job as this character and he is one the best parts of the episode.

Now what about Doof? Well like Candace's his plot was fun as well. We find out about a Druselstinian tale of the Kinderlumper Doof has a song in this episode about the Kinderlumper and it was a great one, Not as great as My Sweet Ride but still great nontheless. It has a great beat, and I love the jazz feel to it. Oh and Doof looks awesome in the tuxedo. And I love the plan of turning himself into a Kinderlumper to scare his brother. Out of all of his transformations so far, this is his best one yet. Though the Doofapus is still a close second.

Not much else to say other than I thought Der Kinderlumper was a great episode. It has some great writing, a well done execution of a weird concept, great humor and some great moments. It is my number 1 favorite episode of Season 4 by far.

I give the episode a perfect 10 mostly because of how well the PnF team did a great job with the execution of a weird concept.

Well that was the last PnF episode for February and we have to wait til March for new episodes. And from what I have seen, it will be worth the wait. Next time I will be looking at the Platypus Day episodes. Until then, this is Kyle and see you next time for another PnF Review.

they seem to get the emotional/deep connection more such as in The Beak and Nerds of a Feather but I guess not all episodes can be a tearjerker. I like how you put it it is nice when things get changed up a bit.

It seems like they are just so fast paced to me lately but it was still good. I guess I was looking for the more deeper connection between the characters like the kids saving each other when they got trampled over. But I know the longer episodes kind of make up for that.

I enjoyed this episode for the most part, however I found the reporter rather annoying. He talked too much and nothing he said was funny.

I liked it. Doof's white Tux, got me into it. Like I said, I'm not picky when it comes to PnF episodes.

Nice review. I will agree with you on a a lot of things. However, I felt that one joke with Linda and the vacuum seemed...pointless.

I didn't see the episode, but from your review, I think it would've been a great one. Nice review, Kyle!

Well like I said, it is a weird concept for an episode but a good one nontheless. :)

Though I should put a spoiler warning on this review. ^^;

You should see the episode when you have a chance. You might like this episode.
