Well guys I just finished watching Season 4 of Phineas and Ferb.
Now before I give my quick thoughts, I just want to say this one last time.
I like Season 3 of the show and I still stand by it. In my opinion, I like it more than the last 2 seasons combine.
I do agree with people when they say that Season 3 was an experimental season, but in my opinion some of the experients did work for me and I would like to more episodes that don't follow the formula in the future. But hey only time will tell.
I will explain more on why I like Season 3 after I get back to doing my Season 3 retrospective after the holiday. If you guys want to know what I think so far. check out Parts 1 and 2 in my gallery.
I don't think the show is going downhill or running out of ideas like most people say it is and I do believe that the show has gotten better. And Season 4 continues to prove that.
I am proud to say that Season 4 is off to a great start.
Both episodes were hands down 5 out of 5 accomplishment patches in my opinion (yeah I will explain that later)
But let's talk about them one by one.
For Your Ice Only:
Love how they reveal Stacy and Ginger as sisters. Plus Ginger has a great line that made me laugh alot.
Love how they made a callback to Isabella's announcer voice way back in It's a Mud Mud Mud Mud World.
Like the S'Fall plot in Minor Monogram, I love how Hockey Z-9 was treated as a throwback to Football X-7 and not a rehash of it...The song has different lyrics but the same musical beat. But believe it or not, even though I love the Football X-7 scene in My Fair Goalie, I love Hockey Z-9 more....I wish there was more of it to show but for what it is I enjoyed it alot.
Doofenshmirtz has a transformation fetish now. First the Doofapus, then that ogre thing from This is Your Backstory and now this. xD
Like the Jaime Oliver from Meatloaf Surprise, and Greg LeMond from Tour de Ferb, we have another guest star that I do not know, though that is mostly because I am not a big hockey fan. But unlike those two, I did get alot of laughs from this guy. Plus it sounds like he had fun being in the episode.
Also, The episode was written by two new writers. For thier first episode, they did a great job can't wait to see more from them.
Now for Happy New Year:
This was a great episode, If I had to do a favorite episode of Season 4 now, this will be at Number 1. It's that good.
The writing was superb
The animation is fantastic
The humor was top notch. But the ones who stole the show in the humor department has to be Candace and Irving. Both characters were hilarious in my opinion.
The song was superb and probably the best of season 4 so far. Great song Olivia Olson. ^_^
So yeah, both episodes were great ones. These episodes are proof that Dan and Swampy still got it and that the show is NOT going downhill or running out of ideas as many people say it is.
Sadly, there won't be new episodes for the rest of the year.
But the plus side is Season 4 will return in January and it is worth the wait.
I will review both episodes and go into more detail later this week. So do expect them soon.
In the meantime,
Kyle is out SEASON 4 PEACE
- Mood: Christmas Spirited
- Listening to: Christmas Music
- Watching: Christmas Specials
- Playing: Persona 4 Golden
Of course I strongly disagree with the season 3 thing, but these episodes restored my faith in the show.
Man, I loved the bit where they revealed the Hirano sisters! It's about time they did!
i honestly thought the sports star in this one was another case of the pointless sports cameo but he did have a few good lines. i preferred greg lemond in TDF cuz it was almost a /parody/ of this thing, since he was giving jeet false or useless info and such. he has almost the bad guy
Nice work. I'd say my piece, but you can read my journal.
